Take Warning: Justin Bieber turns 21 years old at midnight tonight

Hide yo’ kids, hide yo’ wives — because Justin Bieber turns 21 at midnight tonight.

The embattled pop star was born at 12:56 a.m. on March 1, 1994, in London, Ontario. And it was a day that carries a great bit of weight in music history: Whitney Houston won three Grammys at the 36th annual Grammy Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York (including Record Of The Year for “I Will Always Love You” and Album Of The Year for The Bodyguard soundtrack), and Nirvana performed their final concert ever, at the Terminal 1 in Munich, Germany.

What a day. Nirvana went away, Whitney reached the peak, and Bieber was born.

Of course, 21 years later, Kurt Cobain is gone, Whitney is gone, and Bieber rages on.

And Biebs’ 21st birthday party watch is on.

TMZ writes that things got started early — did they ever finish? — on Thursday when the pop star was spotted rolling up and down the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles in a sweet new b-day gift from his buds — a ’65 Lincoln Continental

“[H]is boys John and Sammy Shahidi surprised him at the studio with the completely restored classic,” TMZ reports. “We’re told the Shahidi’s spent several months working on the whip — valued around $20K — and looks just like the car in Entourage … one of Bieb’s favorite shows.”

Bieber might also be spending his birthday weekend partying with Diplo and Skrillex, as he appears on the duo’s new Jack Ãœ project, providing vocals on the track “Where Are Ãœ Now.” Listen to it below.
