Last week we announced this year’s Boston & Beyond party at SXSW, our collaborative effort with Berklee College of Music to spotlight in Austin the best up-and-coming bands with ties to our town.

With the party arriving two weeks from Thursday, it’s time to start getting into some music. Check out our exclusive Soundcloud mix below, which begins with the moody electronic pop of St. Nothing and closes with the exuberant post-R&B talents of vocalist Joy. In between, there’s a bit of everything, from the Brit-kissed rock of Avers to the dark electro of Radclyffe Hall to future pop superstars Yellerkin.

This year’s SXSW party goes down at an outdoor tent space at Brush Square Park, 409 East 5th Street in downtown Austin, and is presented by Berklee Alumni, The Red Room @ Cafe 939, Vanyaland, and Heavy Rotation Records. It’s all-ages, free, and open to SXSW badge holders. The public can email sxswrsvp@berklee.edu to attend free of charge — come early for a free drink on Berklee College of Music, and sample the oyster bar by Island Creek Oysters.

In between the bands, there will be solo acoustic sets by Rachael Wolff, Lady Rogo, Jacob George, and Oliver Monaco.

And if you aren’t headed to Texas, Vanyaland will be streaming the event at vanyaland.com/radio.
