Just In Time: Watch the video for PINS new single ‘Too Little Too Late’

Around these parts, we fell in love with the UK four-piece PINS after catching them twice at last November’s Iceland Airwaves, first in a cavernous Silfurberg space in Harpa where they wowed an expectant audience and then the very next afternoon where they got sweaty ripping it up in a packed-to-the-gills basement of Bar 11.

Back then, the Manchester natives were still touring in support of their 2013 debut Girls Like Us, but now the ladies are back with a new single, the raucous “Too Little Too Late,” which is off their upcoming LP Wild Nights, set for release June 9th. You can check out the slow motion video for the song below.  With it’s fearless drumbeat and heavy bassline opening, the track slows into a momentary instrumental before reverting back to singer Faith Vern’s alluringly hypnotic vocals and devolving into a fuzzed up sound clash of guitars and drums.

“Writing the “Too Little Too Late” lyrics was very cathartic, they spewed out like hot lava from an angry volcano,” said Vern in a statement announcing the video’s release. “It is a middle-finger-to-the-world kind of song and the video mirrors that notion.”

Cut between visuals of screaming and swearing girls amidst overflowing glitter and powder, “Too Little Too Late” is the perfect taster of the new album.  The single drops on March 30th with a 7″ in the UK and digitally in the States. The B-side to the 7″ is a cover of the Misfits “Hybrid Moments,” a track PINS routinely kills in their live set.

“It’s my favorite Misfits song,” Vern told Vanyaland after November’s Bar 11 show. “We were trying to decide on a cover for ages, and that was like an easy fun one so we just did it and figured we should play it live because it’s nice and fast.”
