New Problem: Natalia Kills goes on bullying tirade, gets fired from ‘X Factor New Zealand’

Move over, Simon Cowell. Natalia Kills just got nasty.

Last night on New Zealand’s version of talent competition show X Factor, the 28-year-old British wannabe pop star laced into a male vocalist contestant for apparently jacking the look and style of Kills’ husband, singer and fellow judge Willy Moon. And now both have been fired by the show’s network.

MediaWorks, the owner-operator of TV3, the network that airs X Factor in New Zealand, called the judges actions a “destructive tirade.”

Kills and Moon tore into 25-year-old Joe Irvine, who Kills claimed stole Moon’s look “from the hair to the suit.” In what first felt like a joke, she then coldly asks: “Do you not have any value or respect for originality?”

Moon suggested Irvine wear might his skin mask and then go off killing people in the crowd.

Here’s a statement about the firing from MediaWorks’ chief executive, Mark Weldon, via the Guardian:

“While the judges on X Factor are expected to provide critiques of the performances, we will not tolerate such destructive tirades from any of the judges,” he said. “Contestants put their all into this competition and they should expect to receive feedback and criticism that is professional and constructive. We no longer have confidence that Kills and Moon are the right people to perform the role of X Factor judges and they will leave the show, effective immediately.”
