Last October, Philadelphia noise-pop band Nothing dropped one of our favorite tracks of 2014 in “July The Fourth,” which reminded us of some kind of wonderful Hooray For Earth and Helmet lovechild. This time last year they put out a killer record via Relapse titled Guilty of Everything, and now they’re hitting the road with a band responsible for maybe our favorite song of the decade (so far).

That band would be Tampa post-punk gents Merchandise, and that song is 2012’s Become What You Are, an 11-minute epic that we played on repeat at WFNX.com for several uninterrupted hours when we learned in March of last year that the station was shutting down (#memories).

So yeah, there’s a lot of fucking favoritism on this tour, and we haven’t seen Philly and Tampa come together like this since the 2008 World Series.

The Boston date arrives towards the end of the run, with a June 5 show at the Sinclair in Cambridge. Peep the full calendar of dates, a snazzy tour flyer, and some tunes down below.
