Added Rock: Duck & Cover, Murcielago take Rumble wild card slots, full semi-finals lineup set

The preliminary week of the 2015 Rock And Roll Rumble is in the books, and now our attention turns to the semi-final round. Last night on WZLX’s Boston Emissions, host and Rumble curator Anngelle Wood announced a pair of wild cards that will join the prelim night’s six winners on stage at T.T. The Bear’s Place later this week — and they are razor-sharp garage rock veterans Duck & Cover, and Maine stoner-rock crushers Murcielago.

The wild cards are determined by the two non-winning bands with the highest scores from their respective night’s groupings. Duck & Cover had the highest non-winning score among preliminary nights 1 to 3, while Murcielago had the best runner-up score over nights 4 to 6. The bands will now face off against the preliminary night’s winners, switching their groupings so neither act will face a band they played with in the prelims. The schedule for the semis was determined by random drawing last night on Boston Emissions.

A full preview of the two semi-final night will be posted shortly, but in the meantime, here’s how Round 2 of the Rumble shakes out:
