Initial Damage: Listen to Boston trio Rozamov bring the heavy in new track ‘Ghost Divine’

Everyone keeps talking about the Converse Rubber Tracks Live shows this week at the Sinclair, and for good reason. They’re going to kill. But aside from the notion of bands like the Replacements and Passion Pit playing the intimate Harvard Square venue, the discussion keeps circling back to one theme: What the fuck is going to happen on April 29, when Slayer plays the 525-person room?

Slayer might not have much left to destroy, because the evening’s “undercard” is just as lethal. A double-dose of Boston metal sets up the night as Doomriders and Rozamov support the Reign In Blood titans. But while we know a thing or two about Doomriders, its metal trio Rozamov who are bound to inflict the initial damage.

Yesterday they premiered a new single via Noisey, and it’s heavier than a teenage pregnancy. “Ghost Divine” id their half of a split with Deathkings, out on May 12 via Midnite Collective, and you can get acquainted with it below. Rozamov’s last LP was 2013’s Of Gods And Flesh, and a few of those tracks were spun last week on VanyaRadio as Studio 52’s featured artist spotlight.

Get to the Sinclair early on Wednesday. But you were going to, anyway.
