Fall Back: Boston Calling announces September dates and pre-sale, hypes news with Chromeo jam

The spring 2015 edition of the Boston Calling Music Festival arrives three weeks from tomorrow, but organizers are already getting a jump on the September session, announcing the dates and holding a three-day pre-sale at a discounted rate.

This fall’s Boston Calling will take place at City Hall Plaza September 25 to 27, which is later in the month than previous years’ autumn festivals. The previous two September Boston Callings happened the first weekend after Labor Day.

The festival also unveiled a teaser video, which is suspiciously soundtracked by Chromeo’s funk jam “Needy Girl,” perhaps providing the first clue of who will be performing at Boston Calling in a few months.

Our spies told us that the full lineup will be released on or around May 25, just after the upcoming edition wraps up, but the video below suggests the September lineup will be revealed at May’s festival, like they have done in the past.

Here’s the presser from the organizers, with video and May schedule after the jump.
