Our Doc Will Come: Watch Amy Winehouse face the music in new documentary teaser clip

Now that we’ve all seen the Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck documentary, our lonely eyes and ears turn to Amy Winehouse.

Amy, the BAFTA-winning documentary from director Asif Kapaida that’s set for a July 3 release in the UK, looks at the late singer’s career in an up-close and personal manner. After releasing the first trailer a few weeks ago, a new 52-second clip dropped today that shows footage of Winehouse as her manager, Nick Schmansky, discusses her beginnings as a songwriter.

Similar to the look at Cobain’s personal diaries and art in Montage of Heck, the Winehouse clip shows her handwritten lyrics to “Cherry,” off her 2003 debut LP Frank. Amy Winehouse died in July 2011.

Amy is expected to get a proper North American release sometime later this year. Watch the new teaser below…
