There was a lot to take in yesterday during the Saturday slate of Boston Calling, from St. Vincent’s hypnotic dominance to My Morning Jacket’s captivating musical sermon to local DIY heroes Krill getting exposed to both daylight and the mainstream (both can be equally harsh).
But in the end, it was Tove Lo’s boobs that had everybody talking.
And “Talking Body,” they were.
Around 4 p.m. my phone blew up with several texts from festival-goers informing me that the brazen Swedish pop star decided to get a little flashy at City Hall Plaza. It has probably been a while since bare breasts were flashed toward City Hall, but Tove Lo, a vocal proponent of the #FreeTheNipple campaign, was more than up to the task.
And naturally, it got folks riled up.
