West Coast Lust: Elizabeth Harper gets ‘High On Love’ in Class Actress’ devilish new single

Life moves pretty fast in Los Angeles.

So it’s not surprise that a few short weeks after Class Actress returned after four years away with momentous comeback single “More Than You”, Elizabeth Harper is back with another cut off her glitzy new Hollywood-inspired EP.

This one’s called “High On Love,” and it retains the West Coast-lust-from-an-East-Coast-girl promised within the lead up of Class Actress’ Movies EP, due June 23 off Casablanca Records. The track, which straddles a high wire walk along the singer’s now-classic sense of wistful between-the-sheets longing and its bubblegum snaps of whipsmart synthpop, was produced by Giorgio Moroder — who serves as executive producers on the EP — as well as Harper and Latvian-born DJ Mess Kid.

“I can’t get you out of my head and I can’t get you next to me,” Harper oohs with her usual elegance, both the belle of the ball waiting by the staircase and the back-room femme fatale our grandfather warned us about. “It’s fantasy, when you touch my skin.”

Oh how it is.
