Watch the Pixies perform ‘Break My Body’ and bits of other hits last night at T.T. The Bear’s

In a matter of weeks, the Pixies went from playing to perhaps their largest hometown crowd, at Boston Calling at City Hall Plaza, to one of the smallest in three decades. And for the 300 or so people that got into last night’s intimate show at T.T. The Bear’s Place, where the Massachusetts alt-rock legends helped say goodbye to the Cambridge club set to close next month, it will stand out as one of the biggest local shows in recent memory.

Just a local band playing T.T.’s on a Thursday, you know?

As fan-filmed footage and some proper recording of the night emerges (there were signs around T.T.’s warning that they show was being recorded for future use), check out the Pixies tearing through “Break My Body,” off 1988’s Surfer Rosa, as well as some other sights and sounds from social media coverage over the course of last night.

Though the band didn’t say much between songs on stage, they did have a message after the show: Huge thank you to Boston and TT’s,” the Pixies tweeted. “Now that was a real send off. Keep supporting your local venue wherever you are.”

Watch “Break My Body” below… more to come, we’re sure…
