Hanging Toughs: Watch Mark Wahlberg join New Kids On The Block on stage last night in New York

New York did the most Boston thing ever last night at Madison Square Garden, and they didn’t even need a fistfight or Dunkin’ Donuts to be involved. Nope, Mark Wahlberg joined New Kids On The Block on stage after brother Donnie’s rendition of “Good Vibrations.”

Damn, they couldn’t have saved that for the Boston show, tomorrow night at TD Garden?

The Ted star was introduced by rapper 50 Cent, who told the crowd he felt “like we have some good vibrations here tonight.” Then Mark walked up and gave manly half-hugs and daps all around, marking the first time he had joined NKTOB on stage in more than 20 years.

Watch the video below, via NKOTB/Faculty. Mark certainly didn’t revise his role as Marky Mark, leader of the Funky Bunch. But anything can happen at this week’s hometown show, right?

The Main Event Tour, featuring NKTOB, Nelly, and TLC, concludes July 2 at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo.
