T.T.’s announces ‘Farewell Blowout’ week with Scruffy The Cat, O Positive, Evan Dando and more

Cambridge rock club T.T. The Bear’s Place is closing July 25, but not before going out with a bang. Last night the Central Square live music venue announced its final week of shows, and it’s an impressive collection that highlights the club’s 40-year history.

Among the bands and artists playing over the course of July 17 to 25 are Evan Dando, the Neighborhoods, the Dogmatics, Harris, Emergency Music, Vic Firecracker, Orbit, Francine, the Lights Out, Parlour Bells, Mary Lou Lord, Runner & The Thermodynamics, Thalia Zedek Band, Willy Mason, the Grownup Noise, and others.

The final night, July 25, features O Positive, Randy Black & Willie Alexander, and Scruffy The Cat.

Special guests are promised for each show. The only dates that aren’t filled in are July 18 and 19, and rumors persist that one of the Boston bands playing Fenway Park that weekend might drop by T.T.’s for a secret performance.

Some pertinent info the venue: “Advance tickets: we’ll have advance tickets available for each show available at the box office during opening hours – come by any night from 7pm to close… as well as all day Sunday July 12th during the flea market. No fees, cash only. Day-of tickets: we’re holding onto tickets for each show as well to offer at the door on a first-come/first-serve basis.”

And here’s a look at the full calendar:
