Jack Of All Trades: Watch Foo Fighters cover ‘Seven Nation Army’ with Dave Grohl’s doctor on vocals

Last week we started to wonder aloud what special guests Taylor Swift would possibly bring on stage when she plays Gillette Stadium this weekend. Turns out the notion of “special guests” isn’t limited to the pop landscape, as last night at Fenway Park, Foo Fighters brought out two guests to help supply vocals: Godsmack’s Sully Erna, who pitched a nice rendition of Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out,” and more surprisingly, Dave Grohl’s orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Lew C. Schon, who threw down a cover of White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.”

Paying tribute to the man who helped fix his broken leg, Grohl said afterwards: “Holy shit, that’s actually my doctor. What a bad ass.”

Dr. Schon even got some Lou Merloni treatment, apparently, as the sold-out crowd gave a spirited “Lewwwww” chant (or was it just “Fooooooo”?), making him perhaps the most famous doctor at Fenway Park since William J. Morgan, who guy who fixed Curt Schilling’s ankle in 2004.
