Fun In Store: The Barbazons and Durkin to play Converse’s ‘Chuck II’ release party

The Barbazons and Converse are developing a nice little fling. Not too long after the Cambridge and Allston garage pop crew played the Sinclair for a Rubber Tracks Live show with Matt & Kim, the Barbazons are back in the All-Star game tomorrow night (Wednesday, July 29) when they play a live set at the Chuck II launch party at Converse’s Back Bay store on Newbury Street.

The event is free with RSVP, and DJ/producer Durkin, who we profiled last month, supplies the beats and treats.

In case you missed it, last week Converse announced it was updating its legendary Chuck Taylor All Star for the first time in 98 years, and the kicks hit store shelves today. If you needed any more reason to roll up, Barbazons threw down five added reasons to go party with the people.

1. It’s in Boston. We have not played in BOSTON Boston in 2015.
2. It’s in Back Bay. We have NEVER played in Back Bay.
3. IT’S FREE. Everybody likes that, right?
4. It’s (probably) second to last show this summer.
5. Our boy Durkin will be there.
6. IT’LL BE FUNNNNNNNN.

Get into it.
