It’s Friday and we’re feeling fine, so let’s play a game of Good News / Bad News. First, the good news: Earlier this week Manchester rock and roll veterans the Charlatans announced a handful of North American dates after their November appearance at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin.

The band news: There is no Boston date.

The closest Tim Burgess and company will get to New England is a November 10 date at Webster Hall in New York City, but no one should allow 200 miles to get between them and hearing the band’s excellent new album, Modern Nature.

The band will also play Milwaukee, Chicago, and DC, before a West Coast swing that hits Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Portland. Tickets to al shows went on sale today at 10 a.m. local time.

There is an open date on November 11 between gigs in New York and DC, so maybe there’s a chance Boston will get their Charlatans fix after all. We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, check the full dates in list and flyer form below, and fire up Modern Nature via YouTube stream. (Note: Earlier flyers and announcements reported that the Fun Fun Fun Fest gig is November 8, but that’s appearance has since been pulled up a day to November 7, according to the band’s Facebook page.)

The Charlatans’ U.S. tour dates November 2015:
07 – Fun Fun Fun Fest, Austin, TX*
09 – Turner Ballroom, Milwaukee, WI
10 – Webster Hall, New York, NI
12 – Howard, Washington, DC
13 – House of Blues, Chicago, IL
