Editor’s Note: They came for the “Seether”, and stayed for the excellent new material. Last night the re-ignited Veruca Salt played the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, providing a bit of old and new. The Chicago alt-rock band led by Nina Gordon and Louise Post served up their crowd-pleasing ’90s hits (“Volcano Girls” is still explosive and essential), but also showcased excellent new LP Ghost Notes, one of the more unexpected successes of 2015.
