‘I’m not sure how titties are worse than guns’: Miley Cyrus calls out Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ video

While Taylor Swift has pointed out in 2015 that “Band-aids don’t fix bullet holes,” Miley Cyrus is quick to note that they can adequately cover up the female nipple. And in a new interview with Marie Claire, the 22-year-old Cyrus, set to host the MTV Video Music Awards later this month, wonders why our society thinks it’s ok to flash weapons across television, computer, and smart-phone screens, but a good old-fashioned boob will cause controversy.

Case in point: Taylor Swift’s wildly popular “Bad Blood” video, in which Tay Tay assembles a bad-ass girl gang to sort out some disagreements among former friends. The video has amasses more than 425 million views on YouTube.

“I don’t get the violence revenge thing,” Cyrus says of “Bad Blood.” She adds: “That’s supposed to be a good example? And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my titties out? I’m not sure how titties are worse than guns.”

Preach.

The new issue of Marie Claire hits newsstands on August 18, but you can read additional Cyrus snippets on Kendrick Lamar, her Happy Hippie Foundation, and feeling like she’s “a 15-year-old boy trapped in the body of a 22-year-old girl,” here.
