Last month, Lana Del Rey was out on her “Honeymoon”. Now she just wants to get “High By The Beach.”
And so summertime rolls on.
While our anticipation builds for Del Rey’s upcoming Honeymoon LP, the mysterious follow-up to 2014’s stunning and career-defining Ultraviolence, the songs allegedly from it continue to impress. The lush title-track was a nice re-introducion, but here on “High On The Beach,” Del Rey falls back into the hazy cinematic-pop wasteland that made Ultraviolence so great.
And though the track has all the makings of a classic break-up song, maybe she referencing these 2014 paparazzi shots when she sings “All I wanted to do is get high by the beach.” Or maybe she just wants to get high by the beach. Where Best Coast at?
