Mysterious electronic music project Slow Magic is often described as “music by your imaginary friend.” Well, we have good news — your ghost friend just showed up with a fuckton of Mamba candy, and he’s made a song out of it, just for you.
No, seriously.
Slow Magic today posted a video to Facebook that shows the producer creating new music based solely around the sounds made by the candy. Slapping them, stacking them, and doing all the shit you used to do as a kid… with some added technological advances, of course.
He writes: “I made a song using only the sounds of Mamba USA candy! Here’s a video of me recording and playing the song on a home made candy MIDI controller. For the next few weeks I’ll be part of the #ChewsMamba series ♡”
Now as a music writer, when we say that a song sounds delicious, we’re not just talking/writing out of our ass.
Check out the video below, and roll up with fistfuls of sweets to Royale in Boston on November 22, when Slow Magic play the downtown venue with Giraffage and Daktyl.
