Enter Samba: Babymetal would like to teach Metallica their dance moves

The United Kingdom is just barely shaking off the shock from Babymetal’s recent appearance at Reading and Leeds festivals, but there is more work to be done. Not only is the Japanese teen-girl metal band headed back to England for an April 2 date at Wembley’s SSE Arena in London, but the girls want to also teach Metallica their dance moves.

The gesture is a sign of respect, since Babymetal admit they have learned so much about metal from the legendary American rock band.

Speaking to the NME backstage at one of the festivals, Babymetal’s Moametal says: “I would like to teach Metallica our dance moves, just because we’ve learned so much from them about metal.”

They also say they have “learned how to interact with the fans” by watching Metallica. Let’s hope they didn’t focus too much on Lars.

Tickets to the Wembley gig go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. local time. Watch their NME interview below, via Blabbermouth, as well as a recording of their Reading performance.

In case you missed it, here’s a bit of their performance at Reading…
