New Crown: Christine and the Queens drop autumnal alt-pop jam ‘No Harm Is Done’

The seasons change, but the motivation is the same. Back in March we had Christine and the Queens‘ performance at the SXSW Hype Hotel in Austin circled on our calendar for must-see artists, even though she was playing at the ungodly hour of 1 p.m. Now, as we tumble into fall, we have another of her upcoming shows highlighted: a November 4 opening slot for Marina & the Diamonds at the House of Blues in Boston.

The French singer, born Héloïse Letissier, has been on a stateside tear this year, hooking up with the Neon Gold crew and dropping sublime spring single “Tilted”. With the Marina tour kicking off in a few weeks in Los Angeles and wrapping a month later in New York — where she’ll also headline her own show at Webster Hall on November 11 — Christine & the Queens’ rise should continue.

Soundtracking the climb is her new single, “No Harm Is Done”, featuring Tunji Ige, a deliberate, autumn-cloaked alt-pop gem that should hold us over nicely until the release of Christine and the Queens’ debut self-titled LP, which drops October 16.

Check out the new track below.
