It doesn’t take very long for Damn The Witch Siren’s new single “Faerie Garden” to cast you in its enchanting spell. The Ohio-based electronic pop duo of Bobbi Kitten and Z-Wolf are back with a new EP, Back to Dreaming, out October 27, and the lead track is an ethereal start-stop hyperactive romp though floral sounds and exotic synth-fed mysticism. “This song is like the heart in the center,” Bobbi says of the track in the context of Back to Dreaming. “It’s about love, dreams, magic, beauty, and how important it is to hold onto those things in this world.” Once “Faerie Garden” lures you in, the hold is strong. The intro grips you similar to the way the Knife’s “Heartbeats” once did back on all those drunken indie dance floors, only here we’re outside feeling the breeze pass through our hearts as the chemicals run naturally.
