May Days: Boston Calling announces Memorial Day Weekend dates for Spring 2016 festival

Our bangover from Boston Calling’s September edition has barely faded, but it’s already time to start circling dates on the spring calendar. Festival organizers this morning announced that the next Boston Calling will take place Memorial Day weekend, May 27, 28, and 29, at its usual site of City Hall Plaza.

There will also be an early-bird pre-sale starting tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. The three-day tickets are priced at $125 for General Admission and $225 for VIP, which is said to be the lowest price point those passes will be available.

“Boston Calling will once again deliver over 20 live performances throughout its three-day festival this May 2016,” reads the press release. “Crash Line, which produces Boston Calling, is already planning new and exciting enhancements to the festival, keeping the audience delighted with each iteration. As with its six previous editions, the festival promises to bring a versatile lineup of nationally acclaimed and up-and-coming artists to Boston. Highlights from former festivals include Alabama Shakes, alt-J, The Avett Brothers, Beck, My Morning Jacket, Pixies, Lorde, The National, Nas and The Roots, Vampire Weekend, Jack Johnson, Fun., Passion Pit and Kendrick Lamar. The May 2016 three-day lineup will be announced early next year.”
