Back in 2013, Iggy Pop released a bizarre 21-second Christmas message on YouTube, which found the one-time Stooges frontman and “White Christmas” crooner chilling in his pool while wearing a Santa cap. This season, he’s teaming up with Kylie Minogue to sing the Waitresses’ ’80s holiday classic “Christmas Wrapping” on the Australian pop singer’s upcoming album.
Take that, Sufjan Stevens.
Minogue’s Kylie Christmas is out November 13, and also features James Corden, a duet with sister Dannii, and Frank Sinatra posthumously appears on “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.” Coldplay’s Chris Martin has contributed by writing “Everyday’s Like Christmas,” which probably isn’t a sequel to Morrissey’s “Everyday Is Like Sunday” or even Ministry’s “Everyday Is Halloween.”

Recorded at Angel Studios and Sarm Music Village, the album features 13 tracks — including several duets and a mix of original and classic songs. Kylie has enlisted the help of her sister Dannii Minogue for the deluxe version of the album, recording the brand new song ‘100 Degrees’ – set to be a disco Christmas classic! James Corden features on Yazoo’s brilliant ‘Only You’, Iggy Pop joins Kylie on the Waitresses festive hit, ‘Christmas Wrapping’ while Frank Sinatra posthumously completes the roll call of collaborators, appearing on ‘Santa Claus Is Coming To Town’.
