Crash Course: Watch Bully take over the junkyard in new video for ‘Too Tough’

Now that the dust of last weekend’s Boston Calling has settled, we look back and realize our suspicions were right: The one-two punch of Dirty Bangs and Bully on Sunday provided some fantastic highlights, with the homegrown dudes opening the day with some timeless rock fury and Nashville’s Bully roaring into the afternoon with the angst of a midnight club gig.

Bully lived up to already high expectations, and are now setting off across the rest of North America for October before crossing the Atlantic for some Euro dates with fellow Boston Calling band FIDLAR. To mark the occasion, they released a new video for “Too Tough,” another impressive track off this year’s debut LP Feels Like, and you can peep that shit down below.

Singer/guitarist Alicia Bognanno writes to NPR that “ever since the record has come out I’m constantly being asked about the honesty and intensity of the lyrics and whether or not I regret putting them out there. This video is a reminder that yes, we obviously care, but we don’t need to be taken so seriously 100% of the time.”

We certainly asked Bognanno about her lyrics, and you can catch up on our pre-Boston Calling interview with her here.
