Thanking Our Lucky Stars: Beach House announce 2016 tour dates, including Boston show

With not one but two new albums ready for proper tour consumption, Baltimore dream-pop duo Beach House announced additional live appearances for 2016, and — hold on to your butts — the itinerary includes Boston.

Fresh off this past Friday’s release of new LP Thank Your Lucky Stars, which rather quickly followed up August’s Depression Cherry, Beach House will play seven North American dates early next year, with a March 11 date at the House of Blues in Boston right in between. Tickets go on sale Friday via the usual outlets, and yes, we’re already preparing our #BeachHouseOfBlues hashtags.

More importantly, we thiiiiink this is Beach House’s first proper show in town since an October 2012 appearance at the Wilbur Theatre, though the band recently played Lupo’s in Providence, Rhode Island, back in August. The new dates follow a lengthy tour schedule that currently finds Beach House in Ireland and continues to the end of the year with a string of West Coast shows in December. As for the 2016 dates, the seven-show trek starts in Cleveland on February 29 and concludes March 18 in Philly, so expect some more dates to be filled in there in the coming weeks (we assume, who even knows).

As Pitchfork notes in their tour announcement post, Beach House are also doing a Reddit AMA tomorrow, Tuesday, at 2 p.m. Full tour dates are below, and check out Beach House performing new track “One Thing” recently on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
