When you’re performing on live television, all it takes is five seconds to bust your ass. Just ask 5 Seconds of Summer guitarist Michael Clifford, who took a nasty spill off the stage last night at the Radio 1 Teen Awards in London.
Clifford lost track of where he was and fell into the pit in front of the drum kit. He finished the show, and tweeted about the ordeal afterwards. “I was looking at Rita Ora and I was like… hey… and I fell,” Clifford said in an interview afterwards, via TMZ, which has video of the incident.
Luckily, the fall looks much worse than it actually was.
“all good geezers,” Clifford tweeted. “On crutches for the next few days. don’t look at me funny pls lolz. Thanks radio 1 for having us!”
