Iggy Pop and Josh Homme announce Post Pop Depression Tour; comes to Boston in April

One of the best surprises of the New Year so far has been Iggy Pop’s once-secret collaboration with Josh Homme. For Post Pop Depression, the rock icon teams up with the Queen of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal multi-instrumentalist on what already sounds like one of the best records of 2016.

Now, the duo is taking Post Pop Depression on tour across North America, and it hits the Orpheum Theatre in Boston on April 11. Tickets go on sale Saturday. The local date is part of a 20-date run of North America and Europe, kicking off March 28 in Seattle and wrapping May 15 in Paris.

The tour is being billed as a “one time only” experience, but given the early reviews of Post Pop Depression, this collaboration could become a regular thing for the dudes.

Post Pop Depression is out March 18 via Rekords Rekords/Loma Vista/Caroline International, and the upcoming tour features the album lineup of Pop, Homme, Queens Of The Stone Age/Dead Weather-man Dean Fertita, and Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders. The tour will also include a run-through of Pop’s classic material, as well. Check the full run of dates below, as well as a few selections off the record, and a pair of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert performances.
