Trashcan Sinatras announce spring North American tour that begins in Cambridge

Late last year we wrote about the Pledge campaign from the Trashcan Sinatras, who were raising money for their sixth studio album and first since 2009's In The Music. The post was a bit humorous, as the band, in detailing their then-upcoming single from the record, railed against music biz speak, saying the song would not be "dropping". Wrote vocalist Frank Reader to Pledge contributors (who raised a 148% completion rate, by the way): "We don’t use the word ‘drop’ around here unless we’re talking about rain, sweeties or The Cocteau Twins.”

So while the Scottish modern rock band won't be "dropping" any new singles, they will be dropping by North America.

With the spring release of their aforementioned new album, Wild Pendulum, on the immediate horizon and the warm reception of its first singles, "Best Days On Earth" and "Ain't That Something", this week the Trashcan Sinatras announced a North American tour that finds them going coast-to-coast on our side of the Atlantic.

The 14-date tour kicks off May 17 at the Middle East in Cambridge and wraps June 7 in San Francisco. Tickets to the Middle East show can be purchased here. Check out all the dates and some music down below.
