Primal Concrete Chef: ‘Cooking Hostile’ cancelled, ‘Cooking Bachstyle’ takes its place

Vanyaland has been big on the ‘Cooking Hostile’ parody series on YouTube for quite sometime now.  If you’re not familiar, it’s an animated effort that has Down and Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo hosting a cooking show, with all of the music containing lyrics that are a coy play on some of Pantera’s biggest songs, all related to the goings on in the kitchen. There’s also guest appearances from the likes of Mike Muir from Suicidal Tendencies, Tom Araya from Slayer, and Scott Ian of Anthrax. In short, it’s absolutely brilliant.

Unfortunately, as the cliche goes, all good things must come to an end.

Today, a new – and way to brief video which can be seen below – has been uploaded which announces the end of ‘Cooking Hostile’ – it’s been cancelled. A breaking news report relays the sad message,  with the anchor so despondent that he pulls a Budd Dwyer after saying he has nothing to live for. Fortunately, former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach comes to the rescue. He’s shown in the dilapidated kitchen once used by Anselmo at the grand opening of ‘Cooking Bachstyle,’ singing the Skid hit “Monkey Business” with lyrics changed to reflect him “making biscuits.” He’s also got a monkey hand puppet as an assistant.

We don’t want to ruin the ending, but let’s just say Anselmo isn’t too happy with the turn of events. He hops on his unicycle with a beer and chainsaw in tow and heads over to the ‘Cooking Bachstyle’ studios to reclaim his position. It doesn’t end well for the monkey hand puppet either.

Have a watch for yourself, and check out the Vanyaland interview with the mad genius behind the series, Joey Siler.
