Warm Circles: Listen to this glowing new dream-pop single from Nashville’s Bantug

Well, today is a miserable day here in New England; a snowy, cold April Monday that was pretty much over before it ever had a chance to begin. So we’re looking towards music for a source of warmth and sun, and found it via a new single from Nashville songwriter Bantug.

The latest from Amanda Bantug’s solo project, “Circles” is a glowing dream-pop track that has us immediately digging for more of her work. The video, which brings a late-night convenience store robbery and a random dude in a pink pig outfit together in ways we never thought previously possible, remains a bit of a mystery after a few views, but luckily the song itself holds up to repeated listens. We’ll figure it out eventually.

Watch the video for “Circles” below, and allow us to extend a hat tip to former Bostonian and current Nashville musician Caleb Groh (who just released an excellent cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Little Lies”) for bringing Bantug to our attention.
