We were already pretty excited for the upcoming spring tour from Beach Slang, the Philadelphia rock band who provided the world with one of the best records of 2015 (and quite possibly the 2010’s) in The Things We Do To Find People Who Feel Like Us. Then we heard that Western Massachusetts trio Potty Mouth, who gave us one of our favorite songs of ’15 in “Cherry Picking”, were joining the ‘Slang on the road, and our excitement was raised several levels.
This week, we’re through the roof with news that guitarist Aurore Ounjian, formerly of Boston indie rock hopefuls Mean Creek, will join forces with Potty Mouth for all shows on the Beach Slang trek.
Color us very excited.
Ounjian played with Potty Mouth a few weeks ago when the band opened for CHVRCHES in Chicago, and the fit seems like a good one. Who knows if it’ll be permanent, but that’s not important for now — all we know if that a rad-as-fuck band just got even cooler.
It’ll be an extra special homecoming for many, and part of a busy year for Potty Mouth, who will go on this summer to play at big-ticket festivals like Lollapalooza in Chicago and Wrecking Ball in Atlanta.
