Can’t Buy Me Glove: Paul McCartney announces return to Fenway Park this summer

Macca is returning to baseball’s mecca.

Joining an increasingly crowded 2016 summer concert schedule, Paul McCartney will be back at Fenway Park this summer. The legendary Beatle announced a handful of additional One On One tour dates Wednesday night, and included is a July 17 gig at Lansdowne Street’s biggest venue.

It’ll be McCartney’s third season at the ballpark, and fourth Fenway concert overall. In 2009, he set a two-day concert box office record for attendance, and in 2013, he set the record for the largest single concert attendance in the park’s history. Tickets for the July 17 date at Fenway Park go on sale Friday, May 6 at 10 a.m. local time.

Other big-ticket concerts at Fenway this summer include Dead & Company (July 15 and 16), Pearl Jam (August 5 and 7), James Taylor (August 3), Billy Joel (August 18), Zac Brown Band (August 20 and 21), and Jason Aldean and Kid Rock (September 9).
