Got a cool $21,000? Buy the entire sound system from Johnny D’s in Somerville

Rock clubs may come and go, but their sound systems often live on elsewhere. Brighton Music Hall in Allston is sonically powered by gear from the old Avalon nightclub on Lansdowne Street, and ONCE Ballroom has amplified the Rock And Roll Rumble and other shows with the system from T.T. The Bear’s Place in Cambridge.

Now, Johnny D’s, the longtime Somerville music club and restaurant which closed in March after nearly 50 years of business, has put their complete PA system up for sale via Craig’s List. Spotted by Boston photographer Joshua Pickering, the lot has a price tag of $21,000 — and a whole lot of musical ghosts living inside it.
