A few weeks before his death, Prince joined the rest of the mourning world by honoring the late David Bowie. Performing at the Sony Centre on the latest stop of his Piano And A Microphone Tour, Prince delivered a stripped-down cover of “Heroes”, which came a few songs into the first of two sets. It was a night where he would play 56 songs total and also cover songs by Bill Withers, Bob Marley, and Vince Guaraldi.
As Consequence of Sound notes, the performance has taken on a whole new meaning in light of Prince’s untimely passing on April 21.
