Dewey Decibel System: Boston Calling Block Party series announces summer music lineup

We’re pretty sure spring will never arrive, but we’re certain Boston is going to wake up one morning and it’ll be summer. When that magical day finally arrives, let’s hope it’s a Thursday, so we can check out some live music in Dewey Square Park.

This week Crash Line Productions announced its 19-week Boston Calling Block Party series out on the The Rose F. Kennedy Greenway, and the party kicks off May 12 with Lynn’s favorite sons n’ beards Tigerman WOAH. It wraps in September, but before the Labor Day blues arrive, the lineup will feature Vanya favorites like Cask Mouse, Salem Wolves, Await Rescue, the Way Ways, and Nemes.

All block parties are free and open to the public, go down from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and there’s a cash bar for those who want to make their after-work trip home on the commuter rail extra special.

Check out the full lineup below, and take note: this spring’s Boston Calling takes place Memorial Day weekend and features appearances by Sia, Robyn, Disclosure and others.
