Depending on the availability of Tom Brady and what exactly will happen to his four-game suspension between now and the end of summer, the middle of September should be an interesting time at Gillette Stadium. Four days before the Patriots home opener, a Week 2 matchup against the Miami Dolphins, an unexpected guest will be at Foxboro, closing out the stadium leg of his latest tour: Bruce Springsteen.
The Boss this morning announced an eight-date stadium tour that follows a summer run of Europe and kicks off with a pair of gigs August 25 at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey. After stops at Nationals Park in D.C., Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park, and CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Springsteen will play Gillette on September 14. Right in the middle of the Jimmy Garoppolo Era.
