Interview: Lamont Price on Boston’s comedy scene, delivering laughs to music festivals, and following pornstars on Twitter

People take music festivals pretty seriously — just look at the reaction on Twitter to Robyn’s set last night. This weekend at Boston Calling, the newly-minted third stage delivered a handful of local comedians to the standard band and musician mix, and Brighton resident Lamont Price was tasked with not only hosting the forum, but also selecting those who appeared, like Ken Reid and Orlando Baxter. In between stand-up sets and flirting with the ladies, Price dropped by the Vanyaland media area to discuss Boston’s comedy scene and how he selected his Boston Calling comedy gang. Since Price and I used to live across the hall from another a few years back, we also discussed our former Allston residence (shared with Casey Rankin of Case & Point) and our odd connection of both following way too many pornstars on Twitter. I will not apologize for my admiration of Johnny Sins.
