Remember when we all thought we were getting a full-on Rage Against The Machine reunion, only it ended up being a new group called Prophets of Rage, feature three-fourths of Rage (minus Zack de la Rocha) backing Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real on vocals? That was a crazy 24 hours!

Now that the world’s most political supergroup has had some time to introduce themselves, including shows in Los Angeles last week and New York last night, the Prophets are taking the noise on the road. The “Make America Rage Again” tour has 35 stops, including an August 21 date at the XFinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts. Tickets go on sale Friday at noon.

To get us all worked up, check out Prophets of Rage covering the Beastie Boys last night in Brooklyn, an impromptu show at Warsaw after their Governors Ball appearance was rained out.

And to prove that the group are truly on our side, here’s Chuck D riding the motherfucking Long Island Rail Road this morning, just a few hours after their Brooklyn gig.
