Back In Business: Grouplove announce new album ‘Big Mess’, reveal fall tour dates

California indie rock luminaries Grouplove are back, and they have some good news. It all revolves around their new album, Big Mess, which lands on planet Earth on September 9, and a world tour later this year to support the new record.

That tour will bring the band to the House of Blues in Boston on November 3. Ticket pre-sale for the tour starts Wednesday, and general on-sale is Friday (June 24) at 10 a.m.

November seems a long ways away, as does September, but in the meantime, we have the band’s new album teaser trailer to keep us warm. And judging from the snippets of the handful of tracks teased out, a new Grouplove jam could actually knock “Tongue Tied” out of our heads for the first time in five years. The new songs sound huge.

“We made this album at an important crossroads in our lives,” singer Christian Zucconi says in a press release, via Paste, which notes that the first single off the new LP is titled “Welcome to Your Life”. We’ll hear it in full July 15, but it teases at the end of the album trailer below.
