Every year we hold out hope that this will finally be the summer of psych-gaze, and come every Labor Day, we fall into autumn relatively disappointed. That could possibly change in the ol’ 2k16, as ethereal Pennsylvanian trio Stargazer Lilies have not only this month released an excellent new album in Door To The Sun, out now via Graveface Records, but will also play the Lilypad in Cambridge on July 8.
The show is part of an extended tour itinerary released today, which finds the Lilies playing a handful of shows with Best Coast, Pale Dian, and Ringo Deathstarr (unfortunately never all on the same night, but still an impressive way to spend the summer).
To celebrate, the eternally-‘gazing band have released a video for “Golden Key,” which they tell Impose “is the hope of finding the answer to all of your dreams and desires.” The song and video were “inspired by the desert, transcendental meditation and the universe.”
