Time 4 Sailing: Lil Yachty announces summer tour, including Cambridge date

Some people love Lil Yachty. Other people hate Lil Yachty. To us, he’s cool just for sampling the Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony” (you know which part) and speeding up the strings for his January track “Bitter Sweet”.

At the very least, the teenager from Atlanta remains a polarizing character in the always-changing and kinda silly “new face of hip-hop” game. Today, the rapper has outlined a 19-date summer North American tour that hits the Sinclair in Cambridge on August 19 and touches down at festivals like Fool’s Gold Day Off in Brooklyn (August 20) and Philadelphia’s Made In America (September 4). Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

To celebrate, get familiar with Lil Yachty’s recent mixtape below, and well as the video for weirdo track “1 NIGHT”.

We’re not here to tell you what to like. We’re here to tell you what’s going on. And right now, thanks to looks from Drake and Kanye, and a 2016 Freshman Class spotlight from XXL, Lil Yachty is going on.

Hail #summer.
