Rob Halford joins Babymetal to sing Judas Priest classics ‘Painkiller’ and ‘Breaking The Law’

As Japanese sensation Babymetal rise to fame and fortune, their haters have been met with defense by many in the metal community. A while back it was Rob Zombie standing up for the J-pop idol band, and now, it appears Judas Priest’s Rob Halford is squarely in their corner as well.

The legendary metal frontman joined Babymetal on stage at the 2016 Alternative Press Music Awards last night at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio. This new one-time supergroup busted out a pair of Priest classics, ripping through “Painkiller” and “Breaking The Law”. We’re sure people are mad about it. Oh well.

Video of the metal carnage can be viewed below, and recap Babymetal’s recent Boston performance at the House of Blues with Barry Thompson’s concert review.
