Tilted In Our Favor: Christine And The Queens to return to North America this fall

These are allegedly the slow news days of the summer season, but today’s been a pretty bang on day for autumn tour announcements. Joining this morning’s word that Elvis Costello and Sleigh Bells are rolling into town this fall is confirmation that Christine And The Queens, who had us reeling back in May after their set at Boston Calling, are returning to North America come October.

The French-pop project of Héloïse Letissier will play seven dates on our side of the Atlantic, starting with an October 6 show in Toronto and wrapping October 19 in Seattle. Somewhere in between, date wise, is an October 12 appearance at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston; tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Back at Boston Calling, we sat down with Letissier to discuss a variety of topics, including the fading nature of gender identity, how she’s able to bust out her on-stage dance moves while singing and without losing her breath, and her deep love and affection for RuPaul, who helped inspire her project’s moniker.

Revisit our chat below, and check out all the upcoming Christine And The Queens North American dates in both list and flyer form.
