Turn Up To 011: Listen to a new ‘Stranger Things’ soundtrack and score mixtape from DJ Yoda

We’re still pretty obsessed with the music of Stranger Things. Last week, we hunted down a few of the real-life bands and musical efforts from the cast of the hit Netflix sci-fi series (serious, go listen to Charlie Heaton’s sadly departed noise-rock band Comanechi), and we’re already counting down the days, weeks, months, whatever until the synth score from members of Austin band Survive gets an official release.

To hold us over, and since we burned out that unofficial Spotify playlist that was circulating last week, a British DJ named Yoda has weaved together a 52-minute mix that combines many of the best elements of the show, which itself is a tribute to ’80s pop culture.

In his Stranger Things Mixtape, which you can hear via Soundcloud and below, Yoda combines the score, a few recognizable lines from the series, and, among others, the music of the Smiths (“There Is A Light That Never Goes Out”), Toto (“Africa”), Corey Hart (Sunglasses At Night”), Modern English (“I Melt With You”, and of course, the Clash’s essential “Should I Stay Or Should I Go” in a near-hour of memories and nostalgia.

Turn it up to Eleven.
