The musical gifts from Stranger Things — they just never end.
Perhaps seeing our post from a few weeks ago where we shared video of Millie Bobby Brown, who plays 011 on the hit Netflix series, covering Amy Winehouse (in addition unearthing to Joe Keery’s psych-pop band Post Animal and Charlie Heaton’s defunct noise-pop group Comanechi), actor Finn Wolfhard spent the weekend showing us his cover of Nirvana’s “Lithium”.
Wolfhard, one of many, many breakout actors and actresses on Stranger Things, plays intrepid BFF Mike Wheeler on the show. In real life, he’s a 13-year-old kid from Vancouver who reps the Toronto Blue Jays and beloved grunge classics. He also kinda looks like a child version of Suede’s Neil Codling.
The clip below falls somewhere between Brown’s Winehouse cover and Frances Bean Cobain briefly covering Jimmy Eat World (in case ya missed that one last week). And like Stranger Things, we wish there was more of it.
