Hey girl, the ‘Drive’ soundtrack turns 5 with a limited-edition vinyl re-issue

While everyone loses their collective cool over the synth score to the Netflix show Stranger Things, we’re over here still watching our pink vinyl copy of the Drive soundtrack spin continuously on our turntables.

Already regarded as one of the finest film soundtracks of our generation, the music of Drive is now getting a limited edition vinyl re-issue for its 5th anniversary. Sure, celebrating five years probably isn’t a big deal, but any excuse to buy another version of this OST — which features defining tracks by Desire, Kavinsky, College and Electric Youth, The Chromatics, a score by Cliff Martinez, and more — is certainly fine by us.

The new pressing, through Lakeshore and Geoff Barrow’s Invada Records, will feature new artwork and liner notes written by Martinez and Drive director Nicolas Windish Refn, and will be available only from September 30 to December 31. Ryan Gosling really wants you to buy it.

Check out the new artwork below, and get lost once again in all of Drive’s beautiful sonic glory below.
