Silver Apples, Wolf Eyes, Girlpool, Sad13, Siege, Guerilla Toss and more highlight Hassle Fest 8 lineup

Girlpool.

For the past several years, Boston Hassle has been low-key putting on one of the best independent music festivals in New England with their annual Hassle Fest. This November 4 and 5, the all-inclusive celebration returns to Brighton Music Hall in Allston, and the lineup is among its finest ever.

Eleven bands/artists are taking part, and it’s quality across the board.

Presented by the BRAIN Arts Organization and Boston Hassle, this year’s Hassle Fest features pioneering New York City electronic psychedelic project Silver Apples, Detroit post-industrial/noise group Wolf Eyes, Los Angeles folk-punk duo GIRLPOOL, reunited Weymouth grindcore pioneers Siege, Sadie Dupuis’ pop project SAD13, and New York avant-garde composer Rhys Chatham.

But wait, there’s more!

Also playing Hassle Fest are Guerilla Toss, Doomsday Student, Ava Luna, Surface To Air Missive, and IAN Sweet, who recently signed to Hardly Art and played our SXSW party back in March.

UPDATE 6:12 p.m.: But wait again, there’s even more. Boston Hassle says this is just the preliminary lineup, so expect more rad announcements soon.

Tickets go on sale September 1 via bostonhassle.com, and both nights are all ages. Before you get into the previews below, here’s a message from Boston Hassle on how you can get involved “>>>we’re looking for an artist(s) to create this year’s fest art installation. we’re paying. if you have a tip, or are interested hit us up @ dan@brain-arts.org”<<<

And note: “Please be respectful of those around you! We strive to be a safer space so any offensive behavior or language including racism, sexism, ablism, body shaming, transphobia, homophobia, xenophobia, etc. is unwelcome.”
